Director

Aaron is the founding Artistic Director of Shakespeare Canada. Since 2003, he has had the privilege of adapting and sharing Shakespeare’s cannon for audiences of all ages.
Past Shakespearean credits include: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, The Comedy of Errors, Macbeth, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, The Taming of The Shrew, Julius Caesar, The Tempest, The Merchant of Venice, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, and Othello.
Aaron has shared the stage with some of the country’s finest talent during his tenure, and with this fabulous cast looks forward to exploring the bard's most optimistic tragedy. He is forever grateful to his mouse and three dragons who keep him sane.

Stephanie Murphy
Nurse / Lady Capulet / Jane
Assistant Stage Manager

Stephanie is a graduate of John Abbott College’s Professional Theatre Program. This will be her ninth production with Shakespeare Canada. Some of her previous credits with the company include Trinculo, Viola, Benvolio, Lady Macbeth, all three witches, Helena, Snug, Luciana, and Prospero. She’s excited to start working on a new tour, and to continue sharing her love of theatre, and Shakespeare with students of all ages!
Camille Blouin-Picard
Juliet / Benvolio

Camille is a graduate of the Lionel-Groulx Professional Theatre Program. After school, she started her own theatre company with two friends and have now created two plays. She is very excited to be working with Shakespeare Canada for a fourth time and she can’t wait to go back on stage with this amazing company!
Marc-Andre Dagenais
Paris / Tybalt / Balthazar / Montague

Marc-Andre is a graduate of the Dawson Professional theatre Program. This is Marc's 7th Production with Shakespeare Canada, and his first time taking a stab (pun intended) at a tragedy with them. He is super grateful to once again have the opportunity to bring Shakespeare to kids all across Canada and act with such a talented cast. Previous credits with the company include Trinculo, Sir Adrew Aguecheek, Demetrius, and Francis Flute to name a few
Sofia Dancea
Juliet / Benvolio

Sofia is a recent graduate of the Dawson Professional Theatre program. This is her first tour with Shakespeare Canada and she is so excited to be a part of the team! Having always had a deep appreciation for the bard’s works, she’s really looking forward to exploring classic Shakespearean characters through a different, more modern lens and sharing her love of theatre with students across Canada. Some of her previous credits include Hermia from A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Rachelka from Our Class.
Jelena Djukic
Nurse / Lady Capulet / Jane

Jelena is a bilingual actress who studied her craft in Quebec and New York City. Now located in Montreal, she is active on the theatre scene and on TV. Being a lifelong Shakespeare fan, she is thrilled to join Shakespeare Canada and to help new generations discover the timeless work of the Bard.
Kash Kanapathipillai
Romeo

Kash has been pursuing acting since he was just 12 years old. After his time at the Dawson College Professional Theater Program, he continued to take workshops and classes of various styles. He eventually found Shakespeare Canada and played MacDuff and Banquo on their tour five years ago.
He cannot wait to work with Shakespeare Canada for a second time and perform to students across the country!

Bryan Ku
Paris / Tybalt / Balthazar / Montague

Bryan Ku, born in Montreal, is a recent Dawson Dome graduate about to embark on his professional career with Shakespeare Canada. He is enthusiastic and grateful for this opportunity.
With a love of storytelling through the forms of animation and video games, he also aspires to pursue voice acting and MoCap in Montreal.

Elisa MacLeod
Nurse / Lady Capulet / Jane

After being introduced to the theatre at age 3 by her family’s involvement in community theatre, Elisa has spent her life on and behind the stage in various roles. A recent graduate of the Dawson Professional Theatre Program, she has been a part of The Montreal West Operatic Society and Lakeshore Players through the last few years as both a member of the cast and crew.
Having worked with the Stratford Shakespeare School for four summers, she is excited and honoured to be working with Shakespeare Canada for the fifth time to share her love of Shakespeare with students!

Jonathan Parente
Romeo

Jonathan Parente is a bilingual Montreal Canadian-based artist who has been passionate about being an actor ever since he was eight years old. Always finding ways to stay involved in the artistic community, as well as keep up with his craft as an actor, voice-over artist and improviser, it is no surprise to see him portray a variety of exciting and compelling characters. Having graduated from the Dome Theater in 2022, Jonathan is thrilled to embark on this journey with Shakespeare Canada, and to see what the future has in store for him. He is ever so grateful to have the opportunity to share his passion for acting and theater with people all over the country!
Brianna Rodrigues
Juliet / Benvolio

Brianna is a graduate of Dawson College’s Professional Theatre Program and she is more than a little bit excited to bring to life some of Shakespeare’s most classic characters with Shakespeare Canada for the very first time!
Brianna has always been a fan of Theatre since she was in kindergarten, and her love of the arts only grew when she performed on stage throughout High School and College. Now, she’s ready to make everyone weep with both laughter and misery in the new showing of Romeo and Juliet.

Jackson George
Guard / Jack

Jackson is very excited to be joining the cast of Romeo and Juliet. He previously appeared in the Hudson Players Club productions of Macbeth and The Merry Wives of Windsor. He enjoys playing video games, cooking, sports and acting. Special thanks to his mom and dad for always encouraging him to follow his passions.
