Meet the crew of
The Comedy of Errors
Aaron George.....Director
Aaron helped found the MSTC in 2001 and has served as its artistic director ever since. The Comedy of Errors is a play very close to his heart as it was his first professional show out of theatre school (many, many years ago). This version is the realization of a concept designed nearly a decade ago and Aaron is blessed (in an atheist sort of way) to be able to bring it to the stage. Aaron's past Shakespeare directing credits include, King Lear, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, The Tempest, The Merchant Of Venice, Julius Caesar, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Taming of The Shrew, Othello, Titus Andronicus and last year's smash summertime hit Macbeth. Aaron would like to thank Ace and the band for rocking as hard as they do, and this wonderful cast and crew for being so giving and awesome. Aaron would like to dedicate this show to his loving wife and best friend Niki and his wonderful son Jackson who started dancing the other day while listening to Dio. "I want this to be the most fun you have at the theatre this year, so come sing, dance and check your ego at the door."
Ace Lopes.....Producer / Musical Director
Ace is the M.S.T.C.'s Executive Producer and co-founder. In its 12 year history the company has performed a total of 39 different plays (including school tours), performed over 600 shows for over 100,000 people, and has employed over 300 actors, and there is no end in sight! Having produced every single one of the company's shows, he is very excited to be doing an 80's rock version of "The Comedy of Errors" which is right up his alley!! The MS.T.C.'s new challenges keep things exciting including a school tour in the UK in early 2014. Ace has written and performed the original percussion scores for the past two Summer Series shows; Titus Andronicus and Macbeth and can't wait to get started on this new project!! The band is ready to rock, the actors are ready to roll...let the show begin!!
Luca Paveglio.....Stage Manager
Luca Paveglio graduated from Dawson's theatre program three years ago. He has worked behind the scenes on multiple plays since then and is thrilled t0 be working with M.S.T.C. again.
Deanna Dobie.....Assistant Director
Deanna is thrilled to be making her behind the scenes debut with the Montreal Shakespeare Theatre Company. Her resume includes theatre, journalism and directing. Teaching has been a long time passion, mainly focusing on drama with youth, creating imaginary worlds exploring language and improvisation culminating in a showcase of scenes. She was also assistant director for Where The Blood Mixes. Deanna’s most recent directing credits include: Poetry Theatre, Oh, The Places You’ll Go, Bedbugs and I’m Still Here; which was nominated for best English production in the Montreal Fringe Festival (2011) She also holds a Basic Actor Combatant diploma from Rapier Wit, a stage combat school in Toronto. Deanna would like to extend a big heartfelt thank you to Ace and Aaron for having provided this incredible opportunity. Enjoy the show.
